Behind the scenes of DARE
Kristin Cripps
Kristin Cripps is a serial conference junkie. Whether it be on a beach in Bali, a bustling city in India, an island in Croatia or a cliffside retreat in the Himalayas, she loves travelling around and taking in as much goodness and growth as she can.
Dare Summit is a combination of all of her favourite aspects of seminars worldwide she's attended, and we are confident you will love it!
Kristin has been written up in articles for turning quarters into millions as she started slinging drinks as a bartender and then eventually became a real estate and investing mogul. She's also written two books, done podcasts and docuseries, and spoken internationally. Although her investment portfolio is vast, she has always prided herself on being down-to-earth, kind, and enjoys encouraging people to live more authentic lives and chase all of their dreams.
A lover of all travel, smiles, design, and decorating you will often catch her roller-blading or paddle boarding with her 3-legged dog or hitting the snowboard hills in the winter.

Frequently Asked Questions
Have some questions? We've got you covered!
> What is DARE Summit? DARE Summit is a gathering of individuals looking to upgrade their life, their mindset, their dreams, and their existence. A small break from the day to day to recharge your batteries, get clarity, and see where you have been living inauthentically to your values and how you can change and redirect them through a various number of techniques, and exercises. Some sessions will leave attendees laughing without control in such happiness and others will have tears as they work through some darker moments. Often where people think they need to work on things is just a cover for a much deeper past story that they keep replaying. We want guests to leave with a new zest for their life, full of adrenaline and fire to make massive changes, spread love and to connect with likeminded people.
> Who is putting on this retreat? Raised in subsidized housing for the first ten or so years of her life, Kristin wasn't a spoiled child or one from fancy surroundings. She always had an entrepreneurial sense, selling things before she was old enough to secure employment and often having two or three jobs once she was old enough. As time went on, she would get frustrated as many people thought she was successful because of a parents help or person she had married. The more people thought this, the more drive it gave her. Moving out at 16 and buying her first home before 20 she got into the real estate game and even bought investment properties young. Originally trained as a registered massage therapist and tending bar at nightclubs til the wee hours of the morning, she eventually transitioned into real estate and eventually opened her own brokerage. It's not that she didn't enjoy real estate, but she tended to enjoy the connections with the people and families more than the actual act itself. Being a lover of travel, she often would fly to far off continents and countries to take courses varying from one day to an entire month soaking up as much of it as she could. She often had friends and clients say they lived vicariously through her and this made her sad because she wanted them to live their best lives, not watch someone else live theirs. Eventually as time and more and more comments were made and more and more regrets were heard as she worked at a nursing home massaging, once a week, she decided a summit or retreat bringing all her favourite modalities from around the world to her home in Canada was the answer. And DARE emerged.
> Who should attend? Anyone feeling like something is missing, feeling like if they left the world tomorrow, they would have been upset they hadn't tried or gone after that thing. Often, we put our family, our friends, our partners, our professions first, but we burn the candle at both ends and never allow the time to check back in with ourselves, see where we need some minor tweaks, and where we need some major changes. Basically, our answer to this question is anyone looking to be a better, more centered, clear, and conscious version of themselves. We welcome everyone ❤️
> What kind of experience do I need to have? You don't need to have any experience. This could be your first event ever; or your thirtieth this year. Wherever you are in your journey is okay.
>Can I come by myself? Absolutely. Some people don't feel comfortable sharing or going through a journey with those close to them. Alternatively some people need a little extra support and help from a family member, or encouragement. Again everyone is welcomed with open arms.
>What should I expect from the event? It's probably fairly covered above if you have read through some of the other FAQs, but if you skipped to this one that's okay as well. You should expect to do many exercises of the mind and spirit, and some of the body to help rejuvenate any wounds or clear up old, wired thought patterns that aren't serving you anymore. We want people to have breakthroughs of growth, have a clear path of how they can amplify the excellence in their life and of course meet some new, wonderful and amazing people.
>Are there refunds? Yes, if you cancel before 30 days before the event, a full refund is given. Unfortunately, within 30 days there are no refunds. Because of all the catering, breakout rooms, and planning for the event, it's too hard to change numbers so close to the summit. We hope that you understand and can't wait to see and connect with everyone!
>Should I stay overnight? Depending on where you live and how far you are driving, I think plays a big role into that question. Besides the main classes and events there are many other bonus workshops, exercises, fireside chats, and bonus workshops, exercises, fireside chats, healing modalities such as reiki, craniosacrial work, polarity therapy, chakra balancing etc to take advantage of before and after the days sessions. The work can be quite taxing on the mind and soul as you light that match in the often dark, buried away compartments of your body so driving after a large emotional day isn't suggested.
>What's included? We have different packages to suit our guests' budgets and desires. Some people may live close and not need to stay overnight whereas we have other people flying in so staying on the grounds will be a definite. All meals are included, sessions, treatments, and everything on the grounds during the summit. There is no hidden fees or extras that will be a surprise.
>Is it the right time to do this? If you've gotten this deep into this website than definitely YES. We're not sure what the change is that you're ready to make or go after but we're so happy and excited to help you on your journey!
>How long does it go? Guests are welcome to come any time after noon on Thursday, September the 26th, 2024. Friday and Saturday will be the main days. Sunday will be a half day with more classes, and we will finish up at lunch so everyone can get home at a reasonable hour. Thursday is a gentle way to ease into the weekend. We don't mind if you go to none of Thursdays modalities and read a book on the dock or don't show up until 930 at night if that works better for you. Feel free to wander the grounds, go out for a kayak or swim, and enjoy the multi temperature Nordic pools. Alternatively, sign yourself up for some different therapies or meditations. There is also ping pong, billiards, and arcades if that is more your thing to get into relax and unwind mode. There are no judgments here.
>Do I need to bring anything? We would suggest bringing comfies, a bathing suit and loose or stretchy gym attire. No one wants to be stuffy in heels or a suit when they're doing internal work, meditating, doing yoga or some breathwork. Feel free to bring something warmer for the evenings, but don't worry about a yoga mat or water bottle, we have you covered. Also please let us know if you have any allergies or health concerns we should be aware if.
>What should I wear? Please see above. Also, if you are not having your own room, please bring pajamas, or a robe for everyone's comfort.
>I notice this is in Quebec. Will the event be held in English or French? Also, if someone is hard of hearing, will there be an interpreter? The DARE Summit will be held in English, and we do have someone for sign language if needed. If you require such, please reach out to a member of our team asap so we can ensure our enterpreter is available for the duration of the venue.
>Are food, drinks, and snacks included? All meals are included. There will also be snacks, water, juices, tea's and coffee.
>Will there be alcohol? No, there will not be alcohol. There are so many things in the Western world that numb us from our inner self and don't allow full presence for our surroundings. Because we are doing so much inner, deep self work, we know it's best to do so as connected and clear as possible. We encourage you to be open to the event, its presenters, practitioners, and attendees, and delve in as much as you can. We know some things you have been holding a short while, some your whole life, and others have been passed down ancestorily. We are so excited for the clarity of this event in your life and helping you carve out your best and brightest self. Until we meet, warmest wishes
>What if I don't drive? If you don't drive, please reach out to us. If there are enough people coming from Toronto, for example, or Barrie or whichever location, we may arrange a shuttle bus. Also, many people are flying from Toronto to Ottawa as well. If that is the case please let us know as we may be able to accommodate some sort of transportation. Safe journey everyone!
>Are kids allowed? We do allow children however only if 16 or over due to some of the content and work going on at the summit. We apologize for any inconvenience.
